Population, sustainability and quality of life: what future do we want for Australia?

Sustainable Population Australia invites you to a free Public Forum: Population, sustainability and quality of life: what future do we want for Australia?

When: Saturday 27 April 2019 2 – 5 pm
Where: The EcoCentre, Griffith University Nathan Campus, building N68.

Confirmed speakers:

    Professor Hugh Possingham, University of Queensland ecologist and Chief Scientist at The Nature Conservancy.
    Kelvin Thomson, former Federal Labor MP for the seat of Wills, current President of SPA’s VicTas Branch.
    Crispin Hull, journalist and columnist for the Canberra Times.

This follows Sustainable Population Australia’s AGM, at the same venue starting 10:30 for 11 am. Members are encouraged to attend and stay for the forum.

Lunch will be $15 per person, but must be pre-booked.

Following the event, we will adjourn to dinner, at a venue to be advised. Email qld@population.org.au to book lunch and/or dinner and notify us of any dietary requirements.

Members travelling to Brisbane can also request to be billeted with local members, subject to availability. Make your travel plans as soon as possible as this weekend coincides with the end of school holidays and plane seats may be scarce.
