Rethinking Sustainability with Rod Taylor in Brisbane on Nov 11

11 November 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

‘Sustainability’ has become cliché, loaded with myths, half-truths and outright lies that try to convince us that a few tweaks to ‘business as usual’ will be enough. What, then, does ‘sustainability’ really mean? A fundamental problem requires fundamental solutions – yet these are often completely ignored.

You are warmly invited to attend a FREE public forum on  Saturday 11th November,  Rethinking Sustainability

This event will be co-hosted by the Queensland branch of Sustainable Population Australia  and Centre for the Advancement of a Steady State Economy (CASSE),  who welcome Rod Taylor as keynote speaker.  Rod Taylor is a radio producer, science columnist and co-author with Mark Diesendorf of ‘The Path to a Sustainable Civilisation‘.

Rod will be joined by Jane O’Sullivan, Queensland branch president of Sustainable Population Australia,  and Craig Parker, Brisbane director for the Centre for the Advancement of a Steady State Economy (CASSE) .

Please register your interest via Humanitix here.

This event will be held at Brisbane Square Library community meeting room, 266 George St, Brisbane City (entrance off Reddacliff Place),  5pm to 7pm,  11/11/2023.

For more information on Rod Taylor,  you may wish to listen to his interview with Post-Growth Australia Podcast (PGAP), “Fuzzy Logic on a Fragile Planet with Rod Taylor.”  Also, “Mark Diesendorf and the Path to a Sustainable Civilisation.” PGAP is proudly supported by Sustainable Population Australia.
