SPA 2023 AGM Speakers Afternoon

This coming Saturday Sustainable Population Australia will be having its Annual General Meeting held at Hawthorn Library Meeting Room 3, located at 584 Glenferrie Road Hawthorn in Melbourne, following official business we invite members of the public to join us for our guest speakers this will commence at 1:30pm Saturday the 1st of April.

Speakers:

Dr. Katharine Betts, a demographer and researcher based in Australia. She is a former professor at Swinburne University of Technology and is known for her research on immigration, population growth, and related policy issues. Dr. Betts is also a member of the board of directors of the Australian Population Research Institute and has authored several books on these topics.

Former Victorian MP Clifford Hayes, served as a councillor for the City of Bayside council from 2005 to 2012 before being elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly in 2018 as a member of the Sustainable Australia party. He has been a vocal advocate for restoring local democracy in planning issues, banning property developer donations to political parties, protecting Victoria’s heritage, and improving the state’s planning system. As well as calling out rapid population growth policies by the Government.
