World Heritage Day Online Event

Saturday, 18 April from 3.00pm

One of our keen SPA members will be running a Zoom event for world Heritage Day on Saturday 18th April at 3pm.  John Steley is an environmental activist and committee member of SPA’s Queensland Committee.

The online event will include a variety of presentations focusing on our ecosystem as precious natural heritage and the great initiatives from around the world to preserve these.  For those interested in population sustainability, it will include a video from David Attenborough and a trailer for the documentary on population ‘8 Billion Angels’.

Anyone can join online with Zoom with the following details:

John describes the event thus:

“This World Heritage Day event looks forward to the heritage we leave for future generations. It will touch on some challenges we face going forward, but in the main it will look at positive action we can take. It will comprise a series of videos, about an hour in total. The first 40 minutes are well suited for all, young and old. I expect the last 20 minutes will be of more interest to adults and adolescents than children.

“My intention is to entertain, inform, facilitate discussion and especially to move people to action. Constructive feedback is most welcome.”

We hope that you are able to join for this entertaining and informative online event.
