While the United States finds itself stuck in an immigration quagmire, two other modern civilizations face similar predicaments: Australia and Canada. As the world adds another 77 million humans annually, millions flee from their unsustainable countries into first world nations.
Canada, known as a big “little” country, because of its limited food growing season and rocky soil—does not possess the carrying capacity to continue mass immigration. Yet, its leaders, thinking like 20th century troglodytes, insist on overloading the land, water and resources for maximum ‘development’ profits. Canada already stands nostril-deep in environmental calamities.
Australia, a barren desert-continent, cannot sustain the 21 million humans today, but its leader, Kevin Rudd, wants to make his big “little” country a haven for relentless immigration. He also does not understand the consequences of exponential growth.
At the same time, growth advocates such as big business pull out every stop in order to gain maximum population growth.
I interviewed, Tim Murray of www.ImmigrationWatchCanada.org <http://www.ImmigrationWatchCanada.org> for his take on what is happening not only in Canada, but in Australia.
What are your thoughts on what is happening in Australia?
“The Melbourne Times reported on February 3, 2010 that maverick Labor MP Kelvin Thomson, who has launched a crusade against Australia’s runaway population growth, aside from wanting to dramatically slash overseas immigration, proposes to “cut family tax benefits to new recipients who had more than two children and redirect the money to education and workplace training.” said Murray. “The Times continued, “Australian Bureau of Statistics data shows fertility rates are higher for Australian women born in largely Muslim countries, including Turkey and northern African countries. Almost 30 per cent of people in Mr Thomson’ electorate were born in non-English-speaking countries.”
UNLIMITED GROWTH UNSUSTAINABLE ON THE DESERT CONTINENT OF AUSTRALIA: BRING IN MORE AND MORE PEOPLE BUT INSIST THAT THEY CONSUME LESS AND LESS
“To the rescue comes, naturally, the Greens,” said Murray. “The world over Greens evidence little concern about population growth. We all just have to cut back our consumption ad infinitum, move over and make room for more and more incoming people.
“The sky is the limit. “More and more people consuming less and less” would be an apt slogan for this curious band of opportunists. Seasoned xenophiliacs, they have little regard for national identity. “Cultural diversity”, aka as cultural colonization by cheap third world labor, is their banner, and “Islamophobia” and “racism” are words which they brandish as weapons of intimidation. No one plays the race card more habitually.
“In Germany, the Greens have virtually become the Turkish Party—the ecological consequences of open borders escapes their notice, as does the right of a national culture to assert and protect its values. It should come as no surprise to learn then, that Australian Greens should attempt to frame Kelvin Thomson’s proposal to cut family tax benefits as racist. According to their report, Greens MP Greg Barber said that Thomson’s plan would unfairly target Muslim families. “Whether Kelvin understands it or not his policy selectively targets predominantly Muslim people and punishes them for having that third child,” Barber said. “We know what gets birth rates down – the empowerment of women with contraception, access to education and participation in the workforce.”
“That’s rich!” said Murray. “A State Green MP argues that only the empowerment of women, contraception, education and workplace participation gets birth rates down. And so who does he champion? The Muslims culture that has resisted all of those things with zeal.”
