SPA newsletter 134 – February 2019
In this issue we highlight the Opinion article about ageing in the prestigious journal Trends in Ecology and Evolution (TREE), co-authored by SPA’s Queensland president, Jane O’Sullivan. There are Opinion pieces by Stephen Saunders and Geoff Davies, what Barry Jones thinks Abraham Lincoln might have said in his Gettysburg address today, and news of the Human Overpopulation Atlas which you can download. We have the usual two book reviews: one of the splendid A sense of wonder towards nature by Haydn Washington, and another critical of the late Hans Rosling’s book Factfulness. There are the usual branch reports and one from our Communications Manager, and an obituary to Peter Carter, former president of the Victorian branch of SPA.
