SE Queensland population by 2100

 “53% of SEQ will most likely be urbanised by 2100.” ?On the ABC on Friday, November 20, 2009 Tony Eastley said “Can Queensland handle its projected population growth? You talk about crisis of liveability at different stages.”

The premier’s response was, “I think this growth is manageable but it does have to be managed. We can't let it happen unchecked and we can't let it happen without a plan.” 

 However, the premier only talks about growth in the very short term, in planning and political cycles. The premier does not paint for residents what the long term future will bring, the changes people will need to accept because of the State Government’s continued belief in endless growth.
