Video of SPA Adelaide Public Forum 2024 now available

Sustainable Population Australia is pleased to share the recording of the public forum “From Housing Crisis to Eco-Crisis: why Australia’s population growth is unsustainable.”

This forum,  held in Adelaide on April 20th,  was hosted by the South Australian and Northern Territory branch of SPA.  The event was so well attended that it ended up with standing room only.

Our new National President Peter Strachan  was MC and welcomed our two speakers.

Dr Jane O’Sullivan,  spoke to the topic  “Albanese’s Immigration Overhaul: No relief in sight despite ‘sustainable immigration’ pledge”.  You can watch this between 00:06:00 to 00:34:35

Our headline speaker,  Leith van Onselen,  ‘Unconvenitonal Economist’  from MacroBusiness,  spoke to the topic “Australia’s Immigration and the Everything Shortage”. You can watch this between 00:34:35 to 01:15:32

Due to popular demand,  the video recording and the presentation slides are now publicly available.   The recording was taken via Zoom,  and there were some technical issues with the video.  As such, we have incorporated slides from the presentations and other related static images from the event in the recording.   We hope this is accessible for our many supporters who were unable to attend in person.

In addition to the video below,  we also include some photos from the day and the slides for the two speakers.

If you would like to support SPA in saying ‘No’  to a Big Australia,  you can find our more at our CAMPAIGN PAGE.  If you haven’t done so already,  we invite you to sign our POSITION STATEMENT (we are delighted that Leith van Onselen is one of our signatories).  You may also wish to Write to your MP through our easy to use app,  DONATE to SPA,  or BECOME A MEMBER.
